Samuel Adams summer ale:
ok this beer is brewed with lemon peel…. Which in my humble opinion did not go so well. For me the bitterness of the lemon peel in this beer ruined the whole thing, it is not an enjoyable bitter like you find in some brew. so to keep this short and sweet unlike this beer, I won’t be drinking this again.

Maui Brewing Co. Big Swell IPA:So to start off, the label art on this brew is great, the name is great, and what do you know, the beer itself is great! When poured it has your normal IPA color, aroma is big on citrus notes and hops. Taste is very well balanced, citrus, floral, and hop tastes all mix very nicely to make Big Swell a great IPA.

Samuel Adams Alpine spring.

Sounds refreshing right!? Well it is, this lager by Sam A pours a hazy golden color, with a head that stays for a while. Aroma is filled with citrus, hops and earthy notes, taste is much the same except the hops are not as pronounced. all in all this brew is nothing spectacular but not bad either, very refreshing, could definitely enjoy this after a hot day in the summer sun of Texas.

Green Flash Double Stout.

When poured color is dark black, with a medium brown head. First your hit with coffee, chocolate and malt in the aroma, maybe a little vanilla also. Taste is much the same, just a hint of chocolate intertwined with coffee, roastiness, and a little hop bitterness also. This turned out to be a very well rounded drinkable stout.

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum!!!!

I have been looking for this since it showed up in recommendation list on Pintley. (great beer tracking app)
This beer pours a beautiful color, and the aroma is big intense and full of hops! Taste has a bit of bready malt, mixed in with some tropical citrus fruit, hops hops and oh yeah HOPS! This is a great imperial IPA, the flavors and characteristics in this brew are balanced very well making this yet another stand out beer by Sierra Nevada.

Saint Arnolds Spring Bock.

Got this nice little surprise at the shell gas station in Olmos Park.
This beer pours a dark copper color with a foamy white head, looks great in my glass. The smell of the brew was a little odd but nice, had chocolate, bread, floral, and malt. Taste is much the same, some alcohol up front, then caramel, hops, malt, and finishes nicely with a mix of hoppy bitterness and a little chocolate sweetness. the carbonation in this beer makes for a medium light body that is easy to drink… All in all I really enjoyed this beer, if you see it try it.

Lagunitas Imperial Red.

Picked this up at Central Market, beer pours kind of a ruby red color, its gorgeous appearance is matched by the nice hoppy aroma. Taste is full of malty, hoppy goodness mixed in with just a little citrus that make this Imperial Red a great brew. If you see it try it.
